Whether you have arrived here by way of your general dentist, insurance company, or the recommendation of a friend or family member, we’re grateful you have selected our office for your oral care. We’re confident you’ll be pleased with our services and hope you will give us the greatest compliment of referring our office to your own family and friends.
We want you to feel as comfortable and relaxed here as possible. You’ll notice our office environment is warm and inviting, not cold and clinical. Our friendly staff is highly trained in the areas of patient care and hospitality. To maintain our position as the area’s state-of-the-art surgical facility, we are constantly evaluating our established procedures and protocols as well as the newest, most up-to-date equipment and techniques. At Pickerington Manor Jaw & Facial Surgery, you can be confident in knowing your care is in the hands of competent and compassionate professionals.
Most often, your first appointment will be a consultation in which we review your health history, perform a thorough oral exam and discuss treatment options. Dr. Bath may also take a panoramic x-ray, or pan, to evaluate the condition of your teeth, bone structure, sinuses, jaw joints, nerves and surrounding tissues. Pans provide the more comprehensive view required by oral surgeons than the smaller x-rays, or bitewings, typically performed by your general dentist.
Dr. Bath enjoys spending time with his patients to ensure that all their questions are thoroughly addressed. In some instances, we may discuss a few different treatment options. Our goal is to work with you to formulate the approach most ideal for your unique circumstances. We will provide you with a copy of your customized treatment plan along with an estimate. For your convenience we accept a number of insurance plans, and we will help you to understand your benefits. We also encourage you to ask questions. Many patients find reassurance in a full and complete understanding of their condition and proposed treatment.
Please understand that we are a surgical facility which differs greatly from your general dentist’s office. We provide a variety of services with each requiring a different amount of time and attention. We realize your time is valuable, and though we make every effort to minimize your wait, occasionally we may be delayed by patients that require emergency care or other unexpected situations. Rest assured that the same courtesy of cautious and safe surgery is extended to all our patients, and your understanding when such delays occur is greatly appreciated. Again, we thank you for choosing our office for your care!

Dental implants are changing the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. Dental implants are a practical solution to what may feel like an overwhelming dilemma.
